1. About our content
The Literature Mag publishes book reviews, author features, interviews, news and articles about reading culture. Our content is provided for general information and editorial purposes. Reviews and opinion pieces reflect the honest views of their writers and are not professional, legal, financial or medical advice.
We take care to keep our content accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee that every detail, such as prices, availability or publication dates, is complete or current.
2. Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, the articles, text, design, logo, graphics and other original material on this website belong to The Literature Mag and are protected by copyright and trademark law.
Book covers, author photographs and other material supplied by authors and publishers remain the property of their respective owners and are used with permission or for the purposes of review, criticism and news reporting.
3. How you may use our content
You are welcome to:
- read, share and link to our articles for personal, non-commercial purposes;
- quote short extracts with clear credit to The Literature Mag and a link to the original article;
- use our “Download” and “Share on Instagram” images to share our articles on social media, provided you do not alter them or remove our branding.
Without our prior written permission, you may not:
- republish, copy or distribute full articles or substantial parts of them;
- use our content, name or logo for commercial purposes or in a way that suggests we endorse you;
- scrape, harvest or bulk-download content, including for training artificial intelligence or machine-learning systems;
- attempt to interfere with the security or normal operation of the website.
4. Book submissions and author features
Authors, publishers and publicists are welcome to send us books and information for review or feature consideration. By making a submission, you agree that:
- sending a book or request does not guarantee a review, feature or publication date;
- our editorial team keeps full independence over what we publish and what our reviews say;
- you own, or have permission to share, the material you send us (including cover images, excerpts, biographies and photographs);
- you grant The Literature Mag a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use that material on our website, newsletter and social media channels in connection with the review or feature;
- we may edit submitted text for length, clarity and style.
Any paid, sponsored or promotional arrangement will be agreed with you separately in writing.
5. Comments and community guidelines
We welcome thoughtful discussion. When you comment, you agree not to post anything that is unlawful, defamatory, abusive, hateful, harassing, obscene, misleading, spam or advertising, or that infringes anyone else’s rights or privacy.
You remain responsible for your comments. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display them on the website. We may moderate, edit or remove any comment, and block any user, at our discretion.
6. Newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will send you occasional emails about new reviews, features and reading lists. You can unsubscribe at any time. How we handle your email address is explained in our Privacy Policy.
7. Contributor accounts
Writers and editors with accounts are responsible for keeping their login details secure and for all activity under their account. We may suspend or remove accounts that break these Terms. The verified badge is granted at our discretion and may be removed at any time.
8. External links and purchases
Our articles may link to third-party websites, including online bookstores such as Amazon and Flipkart, publishers and authors’ pages. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content, products, prices or policies. Any purchase you make is a transaction between you and that seller.
Some links may be affiliate links, which means we may earn a small commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. This never affects our editorial opinions.
9. Disclaimer
The website and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the website will always be available, uninterrupted, secure or free from errors or viruses.
10. Limitation of liability

11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold The Literature Mag harmless from any claims, losses or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your submissions or comments, or your misuse of the website.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect as soon as they are published on this page. Continuing to use the website after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from them or from your use of the website will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
