SPMVV Launches New Academic Book on Food Analysis to Strengthen Research and Education


At Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam (SPMVV), a new academic milestone was marked with the release of a specialized book on food analysis at its Tirupati campus. The publication, titled “Text Book of Food Analysis,” has been authored by Professor Galla Rajitha from the Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology.

The book was officially unveiled by Vice-Chancellor V. Uma during a formal event held at the university. The initiative reflects the institution’s continued focus on promoting multidisciplinary education and strengthening research-driven learning.

Developed with support from the Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (PM-USHA) scheme, the 250-page book aligns with national efforts to improve higher education through integrated and research-oriented approaches. It provides a structured understanding of food analysis, covering key topics such as analytical techniques, quality control, and regulatory standards in the field.

Speaking at the event, the Vice-Chancellor highlighted the importance of academic publications in advancing emerging disciplines like food and pharmaceutical sciences. She noted that such contributions play a crucial role in enhancing both academic knowledge and practical application.

Author Galla Rajitha shared that the book aims to simplify complex concepts and present them in a clear and accessible manner for students and professionals. She also emphasized the growing importance of food safety and quality in today’s global context.

The publication is expected to serve as a valuable resource for undergraduate and postgraduate students, educators, researchers, and professionals working in food analysis and safety.
